Biography

Matty Vega, also known as Mativega, is a woman of purpose: an entrepreneur, visionary, wife, and mother of two. Born in Tarimoro, Guanajuato, and now based in Texas, Matty has built a business ecosystem from the ground up with soul, flavor, and strategy, leaving a profound mark on her community and audience. In November 2017, she founded Pollo Maya, a wood-roasted chicken restaurant born from a personal journey of healing, faith, and courage. Today, it has two locations in Forest Hill and Mansfield, Texas, where it has also integrated a line of its own products, such as Sazonador Maya, the GPT-Pollito specialty, and a menu full of identity, such as Cajita Hidalgo, Maya event packages, and more. Matty is also the creator of La Quinta, her garden and studio for special events, photo shoots, and the recording of her podcast "Cosas de mi Trabajo," an audiovisual series where she shares stories of migrants, entrepreneurs, and people with a purpose. Under her personal brand, Matty has become an influencer for her own business, sharing her daily life as an entrepreneur, cook, mother, and leader on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Through her community, Matty Amigas Emprendedoras, she motivates other women to believe in their ideas, overcome their fear of speaking out, and pursue their dreams with identity, mindset, vision, and purpose. Because Matty doesn't work for money, he works for a dream.
